Story

Beyond a Total Loss is a darkly humorous 2D action-adventure (with a dash of survival horror) about a balding moustachioed dim-witted drunk called John Harry, who comes to the conclusion that signing an unreadable contract in exchange for a gun maybe isn't the best of ideas.

Features

• Minimal HUD: Know your health by the amount of blood on your face.
• Gameplay Elements: Explore, shoot monsters, talk to NPCs, solve puzzles, shoot NPCs, and find keys.
• Choices Matter: The choices you make can affect the lives of NPCs and determine which of the three endings you get.
• Shaky Aim: The guns keep moving while trying to aim.
• Inventory Management: Limited (but expandable) space, move items around freely.
• Cocktail Mixing: Different cocktails have different effects, some good, some not so good.
• Combat Options: No bullets left? Try kicking.

Demo

The demo serves as a prologue to the main game. You play as a different character and experience a unique story and dialogues. Randy, a bad-tempered car mechanic and part-time bootlegger, faces a challenging day filled with bad dreams and moonshine demands.
